Where To Go For The Best Family Holidays 2019

Written by:  Jamie

If you are looking for the best family holidays, 2019 still has plenty to offer after the summer rush. CLC World runs several family-oriented resorts around the world. You could even receive a CLC free week accommodation by attending a 90-minute presentation at one of their four UK travel centres.

Let’s take a look at five destinations that have something for everyone, making them perfect for holidays with family.

Costa del Sol

The Costa del Sol has gorgeous beaches, fantastic water sports and incredible nature reserves, as well as several fascinating cultural sites, including Ronda, one of Andalusia’s most photographed towns, set dramatically on a mountain top. Stay in one of the eight CLC World   Costa del Sol Spain resorts for a great holiday experience.

For city glamour head for Malaga, with its shops, museums, lively harbour and restaurants, or step back in time by visiting the enchanting white-washed villages of Acebuchal or Frigiliana.

In Fuengirola, the children will adore BioParc, a breeding centre for endangered animals, playing adventure golf or go-karting. There are also plenty of water parks to choose between, making the Costa del Sol one of the best family holidays 2019 could offer.

Tenerife

The largest of the Canary Islands, with a diverse landscape and fantastic climate, Tenerife is perfect for year-round holidays with family. Not only are there picturesque towns and villages to explore, with fantastic beaches, theme parks and golf courses, there’s a genuine connection with the environment, with nature parks and hiking, whale watching tours and submarine safaris all available.

Cornwall

If a staycation appeals, Cornwall is idyllic thanks to its mild, sunny climate and unspoilt coastline, with spectacular beaches, dramatic cliff walks, picturesque towns and charming fishing ports.

Thanks to its pounding surf, Cornwall is fantastic for older children looking to learn water sports, while its historic houses and castles make Cornwall a fascinating cultural destination, too. Don’t forget the iconic attractions of the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan, ideal for both young and old.

Cornwall is also terrific for foodies, with fresh seafood, the much-loved Cornish pasty, indulgent cream teas, and delicious home-made ice creams, all making Cornwall one of the best family holidays 2019 could deliver.

Turkey

With its glorious white sandy beaches, turquoise waters, pine-clad mountains and amazing sunsets, Turkey’s Aegean coast is another great choice for holidays with the family. There are lovely towns like Kusadasi to explore, and incredible sites, such as the ruins at Ephesus or the extraordinary cotton castle of Pammukale. Shopaholics will enjoy bartering for exotic goodies at the bazaars, and the food is delicious, with Middle Eastern and Mediterranean influences.

Orlando

For a long-haul family destination, Orlando, Florida has year-round sunshine, pristine beaches, great shopping and of course incredible theme parks. Try out the water sports at Clearwater Beach, and take a trip along the tropical wetlands of the Everglades. If retail therapy is on the agenda, there’s the huge Florida Mall shopping centre, as well as numerous factory outlet stores.

For holidays with the family, what more could you wish for?
