The West Virginia Senate has finally approved legislation to protect breastfeeding in public places!
The bill overwhelmingly passed. Senator Clark Barnes was the only individual who cast a vote against the bill.
There was an earlier amendment which stated that women must be “discreet” when breastfeeding in public, but luckily was removed. However, the bill does state that breastfeeding offers emotional and physical benefits for children.
Fantastic news West Virginia! A little late to the party, but better late than never.
It’s your turn, Idaho!
