I love tequila, which is one of the many reasons I never take my job for granted. I have had the privilege of working with some of the leading experts on the topic, like David Ravandi. David is the founder of 123 Organic Tequila and recently gave us an inside look into the creation and care that goes into his award winning spirit.
123 Organic Tequila (Uno Dos Tres) is high-end sipping tequila that is distilled in small batches and … Keep Reading!!!

Imgur user Otternot recently shared her experience knitting a giant blanket out of PVC pipes. Even for those of us who don’t/can’t knit, the journey to the giant blanket is a fascinating photo story.

Now it was time to “wind and prepare”:
Then came the actual knitting!
And finally, the finished product:
I came across these pictures that were taken almost 4 years ago exactly. It was the day Samuel came home.
The boys were cracking up when they saw these. He hadn’t even been in the US for 24 hours when the photos below were snapped.
I remember at the time thinking that, although he looked really happy, he would probably regress. I wasn’t taking in the moment because I was planning for major attachment and adjustment issues.
Well, 4 years … Keep Reading!!!

I was just thinking the other day about how online support really helped me feel confident in my choices that veered from mainstream parenting. I grew up in a family that practiced and supported attachment parenting, and no one was more surprised that that wasn’t good enough. Aside from my sister, everyone had raised children and moved on from being in the thick of it all and I think that makes a difference.

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them … Keep Reading!!!
Lately, all the news on the NFL has been negative.
Let’s change the subject for a minute.
Meet Leah Still.
She is four-years-old and is currently battling stage 4 pediatric cancer. She’s been given a 50% chance of survival.
Leah’s dad happens to be Devon Still, a defensive tackle who made the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft.
Unfortunately, Still was cut from the team in late August, right before the start of the 2014 season.

I’ve had a lot of people asking me lately about how we home school. The great thing about homeschooling is that you can do it however you want. Homeschooling can be completely individual to your family. However, it’s also a really hard job, and I know it helps to have ideas on how other families make it work. To that end, here are some things that work for our family…

Phil Laboon is using his heartache for good.
After putting down $20,000 for his wedding, his engagement was sadly called off. But that didn’t stop him from doing something awesome. The 32-year-old marketing CEO decided to throw a charity gala with his pre-paid wedding funds.
He called LemonAID for Sugicorps and the party was back on, with a bit of a twist.
“I thought this was a joke — nobody does this. Then I felt like a bride,” Surgicorps founder … Keep Reading!!!
