Parenting is hard enough but these apps can help make it a little more manageable. Whether you’re a helicopter parent that wants to spy on your kids (or you’re a normal parent that just wants to keep them safe) or you’re just looking to keep the little ones entertained, these are our top 6 parenting apps, in no particular order.
- MamaBear
MamaBear is one of those apps that toes the line between creepy and awesome. It can not only track your child’s whereabouts, but can alert you when they’re tagged in photos on social media, alert you if they’re speeding and even monitor their posts on social media for content. Used correctly, this app is a great addition for parents.
2. RedRover
It’s always difficult as a parent trying to find fun and entertaining to do for your kids when going to a new place. Or even in your hometown. RedRover helps out by helping you find kid-friendly activities in your area. Currently available on select major cities, it’s a must-have for the big-city or traveling parents.
3. Smart-ICE4Family
Despite the mouthful on the name, this is a great app. It helps store all of your family’s medical information in one place. It can even help to alert 911 in case of an emergency. Helpful for parents or for anyone with significant medical history actually.
4. Huggies Pull-Ups Big Kid App
This one is near and dear to my heart. My son is getting ready for potty training and we’ll be peeing on plenty of Cheerios but this app may help! I’ll take whatever I can get to reduce urine stains.
5. Canvsly
Now this is a pretty sweet idea. I’ve been guilty of tossing great works of art over the years from my little Renoir but this app lets you save them for posterity. Granted you could kind of do the same thing by taking a picture of them, but this keeps them on a secure server and helps organize them. If only they could do this for the artwork on our walls and carpet.
6. Buddhify
Perhaps the most important app on the list. Buddhify is one of the best meditation apps out there. For those times when you just need a little ohmmm in your life.
