The Ultimate Guide to Meal Prepping

There are two types of people at an office you go to – the one that goes out for food every day and then complains they have no money, and the meal prepper that brings in their mason jar or Tupperware every day that everyone secretly wishes they were. Meal prepping is great for many reasons including saving time, money, as well as helping you pick the healthy option that will keep you on your diet. Meal prepping can seem intimidating at first. That’s a lot of food to prepare! Cooking one meal is enough! In reality, the difference between cooking one portion of a meal and four portions isn’t that big. If you’re going to cook it once, you may as well cook it for a few shares at least! There are a few things you can do to make it easier, though.

Make a plan.

The thing that will really make the whole process more straightforward is to have a meal plan. This means finding 2-3 good recipes that look tasty but not too complex, and then making a note of all the ingredients you need for each. Once you have them, make a trip to the grocery store and make sure you have everything you need.

Schedule it into your week.

One of the main things we hear that stops people from meal prepping is a lack of time. You’ll indeed need to carve out a couple of hours to do the full job properly. It’s simply a lack of planning that stops people from meal prepping and going to foodpanda Karachi instead. This is fine if it’s once a week, but meal prepping will save you time and money if you can schedule it in. The best thing to do is to find a couple of hours on the weekend, and dedicate it to your meal prep. This way, you’ll have food ready for the workweek and won’t need to think about it again.

Focus on preparing breakfast.

As a place to start, breakfast is one of the best meals you can prep. By prepping the first meal of your day and making sure it’s healthy, you’re setting yourself up for a good day. You can simply grab your food as you leave the house, which will stop you from heading to buy a pastry and a coffee as you start to feel hungry.

Make sure you have the containers.

Once you’ve prepared your food, you’ll need somewhere for them all to go. Make sure you have a good selection of Tupperware boxes and mason jars to contain all of your food and the freezer space for them to live. It can also be useful to label food with the date you made it and the contents if you’re serious about your meal prep. This will ensure you always know what you’re eating and how long it has been there.
