Just as we were all getting into the ugly sweater trend it’s out, passe, so last year. A new trend is emerging. Taking it up a notch to ugly Christmas pasties. I would recommend this trend remain in warmer climates, though.

Oklahoma school uncovers blackboard lessons from 1917 during renovations

When Oklahoma contractors started work on Emerson High School they never expected to stumble across this. As they removed chalkboards, to make way for new whiteboards, they found doodles and lesson plans from 1917, as if frozen in time.

On one board was a wheel used to teach multiplication, a technique that Emerson High Principal, Sherry Kishore, says she has never seen in her life.

Photographer celebrates preemies with his photo series ‘Les Premas’

November 17 is World Day of Prematurity, a day set aside to recognize all babies born premature. One Quebec based premie advocacy group, PremaQuebec, partnered with photographer RedM to create a photo series titled “Les Prémas”, or “The Preemies”, in English. The concept is simple, photograph kids and adults who were born premies, holding photos of themselves in the NICU.
