Henry Hargreaves, of New Zealand, was fascinated with the last meals of death row inmates. He decided to recreate the last meals of some of the most infamous executed prisoners for a photo series he titles “No Seconds”

Henry and his friend cooked the meals, but had a hard time eating them. Not because of how eery the project was though.

Grandma Graffiti Gang hits the streets of Portugal

Gone are the days of sitting in a retirement home playing bridge all day. This group of “Granny Graffiti Artists” are showing that you can still be a badass over the age of 65. LATA 65 is an art project that hands out spray paint to seniors and allows them to decorate the alleys of Lisbon, Portugal’s neglected neighborhoods.

So far, LATA 65 has brought 100 seniors out to beautify the city.

International nonprofit WaterAid has come out with a series of photos focussing on what moms around the world pack in their bags when preparing to give birth. The goal is to raise awareness of the lack of clean water, hygiene and sanitation in many areas. In some areas it is so bad that hospitals don’t even have safe water access.

Photographer celebrates preemies with his photo series ‘Les Premas’

November 17 is World Day of Prematurity, a day set aside to recognize all babies born premature. One Quebec based premie advocacy group, PremaQuebec, partnered with photographer RedM to create a photo series titled “Les Prémas”, or “The Preemies”, in English. The concept is simple, photograph kids and adults who were born premies, holding photos of themselves in the NICU.

Father beautifully recreates photos of his late wife with his 3-year-old daughter

Rafael Del Col wanted to do a tribute to his late wife Tatiane Valques, so he and his three-year-old daughter Raisa recreated the couple‘s pictures together. While pregnant with their second child, Tatiane unexpectedly died in a car crash. This photo shoot was done to commemorate her, and to give Raisa a lasting memory and connection with her mother.

The original pictures were done in November 2009, a week before the Tatiane and Rafael were married.
