Instagram Bans Another Account over Posting Breastfeeding Images

Instagram had to put its tail between its legs and issue yet another apology banning another account over posting breastfeeding images, against their own policies. According to their statement,
“We looked into what happened here, and this was a pure mistake that we’ve now rectified. For context, our teams review content when it’s reported to us for violating our Community Guidelines.

Photographer Ivette Ivans’ Breastfeeding Photo Project

Lithuanian born photographer Ivette Ivens has done a beautiful series on breastfeeding. The 25-year-old mother of 2, who now lives in Chicago, breastfed her son until he was 3 and has made it her mission to help normalize nursing in the American culture.

My Breastfeeding Photos

My parents had professional photos taken when I was 18 months old. I wanted to breastfeed in the middle of the session, and my mother obliged me. The photographer quietly snapped pictures while my parents were having a moment with me. They ended up loving the breastfeeding photos the most. To this day, a large framed photograph still hangs over one of their fireplaces in their home.
