I’ve seen very pregnant women try to Gangnam or Nae Nae themselves into labour. I’ve seen women sway themselves through contractions or try to walk them off. Yuki Nishizawa decided to ride the waves of labour through dance and it actually makes labour look like fun.
The husband’s commentary is almost as great as the dancing itself. Congratulations to the couple on their new addition.… Keep Reading!!!
A Texas woman gave birth to her third baby, in the front seat of her car, while on the freeway. Her husband caught the entire event on video.
Reacting just as my husband would, the new father of three high fives his wife and then muses about if they can save money on paying for the birth center now.
Warning: While no nudity is seen, the video is unedited so if birth makes you uncomfortable I’d avoid clicking.

Ever been in an argument about the causes of the increase in cesarean section rates in the U.S.? “But moms want them!” they say. “They’re too posh to push!” “And gestational diabetes! Babies are just too big now! They don’t fit!” “Women are too fat to give birth naturally!”
If you are the person on the receiving end of this commentary, or if you have made these assumptions yourself (Which is nothing to be … Keep Reading!!!

I have had a renewed inspiration to speak about Maternity Photographs.
My birth was very special, and probably not what most women experience for themselves, in a society of fear and one that does not honor the power and strength of being a woman. I am not bragging about this time in my life, I just want to communicate it, in the hopes of creating a opening for the possibilities that do exist.… Keep Reading!!!

Several months ago, professional ballerina Mary Helen Bowers‘ photos documenting her pregnancy went viral. She has since had her adorable baby and allows others to keep up with her family via Instagram.
I don’t really follow people I don’t actually know, but her photos are so beautiful that she is worth the anonymous follow.
As someone who will never experience labor, all I could think was… “Whoa…”
When Jamie asked me to write about heart failure and pregnancy, I thought it would be easy. I have written so many articles about Peripartum Cardiomyopathy, surely this would be a piece of cake? However, I have struggled to write about it because I am pregnant and pregnancy and heart failure just don’t mix. While I am thinking about the new life that grows within me, I don’t want … Keep Reading!!!
An 8-year-old Jazmine McEnaney from Tampa, Fla., girl helped deliver her baby brother at home while awaiting paramedics to arrive.
Krystle Garcia, Jazmine’s mother, had no signs of labor prior to her water breaking, but soon found herself in rapidly progressing labor.
The mother immediately realized this was an emergency situation and asked Jazmine to grab the cordless phone and dial 911.
Jazmine admitted to being “a little freaked out” (understandably), but luckily Emily Hall was the dispatcher that … Keep Reading!!!
Monoamniotic twins (“mono mono” twins) are identical twin babies who share the same amniotic sac inside of the uterus. The chance of having a pair of mono mono twins is quite low, at a rate of around 1 in every 10,000 pregnancies.
That is why Ohio Akron General Medical Center made the news on May 10 of this year when Sarah Thistlethwaite gave birth to mono mono twins. The twin sisters even came out holding hands!
Here is where the … Keep Reading!!!
