New York City’s first lady pens a wonderful poem about tampons

The great tampon debate rages on between politicians all over the world. Is a “tampon tax” fair to women? Canada got rid of the federal tax on pads and tampons last summer; Utah decided the tax should stay just months ago; Chicago city counsel just decided a couple weeks ago to remove their taxes on shark week related products. And now New York City is getting on board. A new bill would supply 25 schools with free tampons and pads … Keep Reading!!!

State Rep. Amanda Bouldin (D) took to Facebook to express her opposition to a proposed bill in New Hampshire that would make it a misdemeanor for a woman to expose her nipples. Bouldin strongly recommends the bill be completely scrapped, or at the very least an exemption for breastfeeding mothers be added.

The very least you could do is protect a mother’s right to FEED her child.

While Bouldin later corrected herself and admitted the bill does contain an exemption … Keep Reading!!!

Carey Burgess was sent home from school for dress code violation. Now, the photos and Carey’s response have gone viral. Artist Sarah Levy painted a portrait of Donald Trump using nothing but her menstrual blood. And just to nail her point home she used a tampon as a paint brush. The reasoning behind it is not as far out there as it may sound at first glance.

You may remember that after the Republican Debate a few weeks back ‘The Donald’ made some weird comments about moderator, and Fox news host, Megyn Kelly.

You could see there was blood coming

Game Changers: Hatshepsut

CTA7

Hatshepsut’s parents were Thutmose and Queen Ahmose. Thutmose also had a son by another queen, Thutmose II (Hatshepsut’s half brother and heir to the crown).  Hatshepsut and Thutmose II married (it was common practice in ancient Egypt for royal lineages to be “fortified” by marrying close relatives, which is also probably why many of the children of the royal couples during this time did not live past infancy). Anyway, brother and sister got married and had a daughter, but … Keep Reading!!!
