Seventh grade teacher takes off clothes to teach her students anatomy

Written by:  Jamie

There’s one way to guarantee your pre-teen students will pay attention in class, strip! Yes, that’s what Ms Debby Heerkens decided to do when teaching her students about the human muscular and skeletal systems.

Don’t worry though, she had on specially designed spandex outfits underneath. Ms. Heerkens, who teaches in the Netherlands, got the idea when she saw someone wearing a novelty pair of leggings with the muscles on them.

Her students didn’t know what was going on. During her lesson she climbed up on her desk and started removing her clothing, revealing the first layer of her spandex outfits. She first revealed the muscular system, followed by the skeletal structure and finally, internal organs.

At first they were a little bit in shock because they thought ‘The teacher is taking off her clothes,’ until, they saw what is underneath.

Debby’s lesson went over so well that the Groene Hart Rijnwoude School’s response was to post a video and photos on their Facebook page to promote the idea.

The lesson is being met with both praise and criticism, online.
