Queensland Cafe Asks Patron to Leave after He Complained about Breastfeeding

Written by:  Jamie

On Thursday, the owner of Cheese and Biscuits Cafe in Rockhampton, Queensland was approached by a customer who asked her to talk to a young mother who was nursing her child at a table in the cafe and ask her to cover up. Jessica-Anne Allen, the owner, informed the man that they were a breastfeeding friendly establishment and she would not approach the mother and offered other seats for the man to sit in if he felt uncomfortable. The man walked away and tried to take it upon himself to make the request to the mother. According to the Daily Mail, when Jessica-Anne went outside she could see the mother was visibly upset by the interaction. At this point the offending customer was asked to exit the establishment and Jessica-Anne took to facebook to make it known this was not acceptable in their establishment, and that breastfeeding moms are always welcome.
