It’s easy to see that Kyeira Jones, from Beaumont, Texas, has a love of mermaids. When looking through her portfolio of work, it’s a theme that comes up time and time again. She started using mermaid imagery with the little girls she photographed, from newborn through pre-teen, helping the girls live in a fairytale for a day.
One day, not long ago, that concept evolved again. The night before a scheduled breastfeeding photoshoot, another specialty of hers, the mom contacted her to tell her she had been looking through Kyiera’s work and fell in love with the mermaid images. Right then Kyiera had the idea to expand her mermaid series to breastfeeding mothers as well.
Not surprisingly, it turned out perfect. Kyiera’s vision is captivating and brings the viewer right into the fairy tale she has flawlessly created.
