Personal Touches to Your Wedding Day

Personal Touches to Your Wedding Day

Your wedding day is the most exciting day of your life. It is your day! A wedding is a joyous celebration of two lives merging into one, a day of commitment and companionship into the all of the days ahead. Whether you want a traditional wedding with a bridal party, flower bouquets, and a three-tiered cake, or a more contemporary wedding with a hike to the ceremony, a costume themed guest party, and pie for dessert, you have the option to make your day exactly how you want it. Adding personal touches to your wedding can be exhilarating for you and fun for your guests. Every aspect of your wedding should be an expression of you and your partner, so let your dreams run wild (budget allowing).

Wedding venue

Traditionally, weddings are held in churches and the reception that follows takes place in the fellowship hall in the same building. The benefits of taking this route is that ministers are practiced in the field of wedding making, so you are less likely to hit any road bumps. However, you can get married anywhere as long as you have an ordained person there to marry you and your life partner! If you’re an adventurer and you and your partner have a special mountain top where you shared moments that helped define your relationship, take a hike to your favorite spot to exchange vows. If you have always dreamed of getting married in a castle, look into this wedding house for rent to celebrate your nuptials, as well as accommodate your guests for the weekend. Barns, music venues, art galleries, museums, parks, and scenic properties all make great backdrops for your special day.

Nitty gritty details

The truth lies within the details. The same is true for a wedding celebration. While it is important not to lose your mind over the most minute details, adding your personal touch with the invitations, decorations, food menu, and displays can offer you the opportunity to express who you and your partner are as a couple. Maybe you want paperless invitations to save a couple trees and knock off your overall cost a little. Show off your own creativity with your guestbook. Provide polaroid cameras and have your guests leave a picture in the book with a message. Or have them sign a game piece with marriage tips that you will see over and over again when you play a game like Jenga. Your cake is going to be the focal point at the reception, so focus your energy on the display. Let your cake sit high on a cake turntable and decorate the base of it with pretty foliage. Add your own personal touch with your favorite tea lights, chair ribbons, signage, and party favors. The whole ambiance of the event will gracefully reflect the love you and your partner have for each other and want to share with your friends and family. Whatever you can dream up is possible.
