
Netflix has announced the most amazing parental leave program I’ve seen yet. Netflix employees are now entitled to unlimited time off during the first year of their child’s life – with full pay! This program is offered to both mothers and fathers. Netflix has even taken the step to make sure it applies to adoptions. They have really ensured all employees, no matter who they decide to extend their families, are covered.
At any point, employees are welcome to come back full or part-time (either way receiving their full pay) and can go back onto leave anytime if they feel they’ve come back too early or need more time.
In their statement, released Tuesday, Netflix says
We want employees to have the flexibility and confidence to balance the needs of their growing families without worrying about work or finances.
Netflix feels that offering this will ensure their employees not only stay loyal but also don’t feel the need to leave their position completely to bond with their newest family members.
