Naming Babies: Thoughts from Rural Ethiopia

Written by:  Jamie

This video provides a great overview of the Health Extension Program in Ethiopia, and through our research here we have learned what a vitally important (and effective!!) system it is. He also shows us some of the beautiful landscape that we see on our own drives through rural Ethiopia.

And the Womens Health Army! Aka. the Womens Development Army. It is an even further extension of the Health Extension Program. These people are on the front lines of womens health in Ethiopia.

Here at IANtB we are becoming fast fans of John and Hank Green. They call themselves Nerdfighters — not because they fight nerds, but because they are nerds who fight what they call “worldsuck.” And we count ourselves among them. Hunger, malaria, lack of clean water, and kids dying from those things sucks and in our own small way, we are fighting it through our foundation Raise it Up and partnering Waves for Water to provide people in areas with little potable water with these amazing, simple and effective water filters. Don’t forget to be awesome, John…not that you need that reminder.
