- Our recommended age range: 18 months – 3 years
- Focuses on: Identifying numbers
- Additional: Interactive story
- What could be improved upon: More stories covering a wider number range. This is a new app, but as of now it only covers numbers 1-10.
Magikid Numbers works as an interactive book as well as a lesson to help children identify numbers (1-10).
The stories are fun (it reminds me a little bit of Super Why) and the number hunt in the stories are age-appropriately challenging.
We tried out this app when my 2 year old nephew was playing with the boys. He loved it! My kids are past the point of it being an educational tool, but they still enjoyed playing it with their cousin.
Magikid Numbers is visually a very fun app, and if you’re children are getting to the age where they are starting to learn to identify numbers 1-10, then this would be a great app for them.
Also, anyone with new readers would benefit from any story apps like this. It isn’t as good as some phonics and reader apps, but I think the more you incorporate story apps into child’s play, the more it helps.
