I don’t understand Twitter. Perhaps it is because I am a run-on monologue and the 140 character limit sounds about as feasible for me as Dolly Parton trying to fit in my brassiere.
Or maybe it is because I really don’t understand social media. I like Facebook because it seems a bit more slow-paced and conversations can flow pretty easily, but if I was being honest, I am not the greatest in terms of engagement on there as well, but I’m a hell of a lot better than Twitter.
Instagram I like because filtered pictures makes even the mediocre photographer I am feel like Annie Leibovitz. Again, I suck at engagement, but I honestly didn’t think engagement was possible up until a couple of months ago. I just posted on there so I could use the filter and have it saved on my phone. I’m that lame.
So today I have made a vow to work on engagement on my social media pages.
- The I Am Not the Babysitter blog Facebook page will receive responses quicker than my usual one month delay (sorry about that…).
- I’m going to remove the Facebook to Twitter link that seems to have been the only way I have ever tweeted. I spammed you all for years (sorry, again).
- And I’m going to actually work on pinning things.
After a week if I have no life, then I’m reverting back to my old unengaging ways.
What about you? Do you feel you are savvy in social media? Any tips for me?
