How Can You Effectively Transition From Your summer to Winter Season Clothing?

Written by:  Rex

We’ve all been there, haven’t we? We splurge on a flowy, breezy little summer dress in June only to realize two months later that it is not season-appropriate anymore. Nevertheless, just because the temperatures have dropped doesn’t mean that you will call it quits with your warm-weather staples.

If you want to get some more mileage from your favorite summer dresses even in the cooler weather, the trick, unsurprisingly, is to layer. From denim jackets to sweaters, here are four ways to give your attire a new life this season:

Layer a denim jacket over them

It is the oldest trick in the book – throw on a denim jacket over a dress to beat the autumnal chill in the air. It will not just make you look super cute but also keep you warm and comfortable. Keep accessorizing to a minimum with a simple backpack or a small cross-body bag. For shoes, you can either opt for sneakers or some good old ankle boots. Both these choices will look good.

Layer them over a sweater

Got a fun spaghetti number that you are not ready to let go of yet? Layer it over a fitted turtleneck sweater. Although, one thing that you need to remember when layering dresses over sweaters is that the latter should not be too bulky because that will make your outfit look wrinkly and shabby. Finish off this chic look by adding a pair of sneakers or boots.

Add a scarf and a pair of boots

For those days that are a little nippy but not freezing, use your scarf and knee-high boots to add some warmth and a dash of understated fall elegance to your everyday look. A breezy, full-sleeved dress is perfect for this scarf and boot combination. However, if you want to be a little more daring with your look, go for thigh-high boots instead of knee-high.

Pair with unexpected pieces

Give your friends and coworkers something to talk about by wearing your summer dresses with the most unexpected pieces, like leather pants! Pairing dresses with tops and bottoms of contrasting textures is a great way to add an element of interest to any look. For example, you can wear a suede dress over a cotton shirt and a pair of trousers. It will not just look fashionable but also very put-together.

Cashmere Sweater

A cashmere crewneck sweater is the epitome of off-duty cool. You can dress this versatile layering garment up or down according to your mood. This sweater works with almost everything; especially midi dresses, jeans, patterned trousers, and tight jeans, and look fantastic with a button-down shirt peeking out from below. If you are not happy with the plain sweaters, you can consider getting printed sweaters per your preference. You can look for the best Custom sweaters Canada online to get the printed sweater of your choice.

Go creative

Whenever it comes to layering this season, you shouldn’t have to adhere to the standard winter essentials. Instead, above your long-sleeved shirts or jacket, layer a vest, a corset top, a tee, or a pleated skirt to create a look that is both warm and unique.

Experiment with layering

There’s a case to be made that you’ve sacrificed style in favor of absolute utility, given your hefty, Yeti-like silhouette. There is, however, another option, although one that necessitates more planning. Since autumn arrived, you’ve most likely become accustomed to layering. Now is the moment to consider it from the perspective of a true outdoorsman.

The three-layer technique has a base, middle, and a top layer, only with the warmest material positioned closest to the skin. Cotton is a fine base layer because it wicks away sweat, and sweat that can’t leave from your skin quickly turns chilly, but merino wool seems to be the quickest and easiest way to stay warm. In addition, it’s a comfortable foundation that allows you to be more creative with the rest of your outfit.

Get accessorized properly

Adults should avoid anything with a pom-pom; it is self-evident. Similarly, wool mittens for children or ones kept together through the string, as well as string-backed gloves, really aren’t permitted unless you are operating a Jensen Interceptor.

However, you must purchase gloves and a scarf as soon as possible. When you bundle up from your feet to your chin against the elements, your accessories speak more than usual about your style. For gloves, consider lined leather, and that for scarf, silk, or fine wool. Color and pattern can go a long way in this situation, mainly if the remainder of your clothing is somber.

You can look for quality winter clothing online and buy themes from reliable suppliers at the most affordable prices.
