Husband, father, “real man”- Society has finally started changing its idea of what these roles should look like in a family. No longer are men only expected to be financial supporters to their families and once and awhile “babysitters” to their children. Real men…real fathers are no longer as rare a sighting as a Chupacabra. It’s now an expected that men be just as much a present and compassionate part of a family as anyone else. What great news for EVERYONE!
No one has shown this achetype more with his actions and his words than the Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle Devon Still. We recently shared his story and have a couple of updates.
While Still’s daughter is still battling stage 4 cancer, in what I can only imagine would like experiencing hell on earth, he’s still able to find the strength to be with her every step of the way.
Staying positive, and keeping Leah in good spirits no matter what.
And keeping a sense of humor through it all. The caption for this post was, “Oh how I’ve missed these metal cots.”
Go Devon! We’re cheering you guys on.
