Clean Up the Outside

When you think of spring cleaning, you probably think about cleaning every nook and cranny of your home’s interior, and perhaps giving a few rooms a new coat of paint, but what about the outside of your home? Your outdoor space is just as important as indoors, and it deserves some attention of its own.

So, once you’re done with your indoor spring cleaning, why not give some attention to your outside space with some of these handy home tips?

Pressure Washing

When it comes to outdoor cleaning, pressure washing is your best friend. Everything from your garage door and perimeter walls to the exterior of your home build up a huge amount of dirt and crime over the years, and if you never bother to clean them, your home can start to look really grubby from the outside, even if it’s like a palace inside. Luckily, this is something that is easily remedied with the use of a pressure washer. A pressure washing machine will very quickly remove the buildup of dirt and leave your home’s exterior looking as good as a new build.

Blow the Cobwebs Away

You’ve probably spent most of the winter huddled inside your home by the fire, so you probably haven’t noticed that the eaves of your property have been gathering cobwebs for a considerable amount of time. Now that spring is here; it’s time to do something about them. All you need is a duster with a long, extendable pole, which will reach up and sweep them away in an instant.

Wash the Windows

Chances are you will have been having your windows cleaned regularly, but window cleaners only really focus on the glass panes outside, which means that the frames, sills and inside panes might need some attention. Mix equal amounts of white vinegar with water and use this to clean your window panes thoroughly. You can use the same mixture, with a little added lemon to scrub the frames and sills clean inside and out.

Spring Clean Your Trash Cans

Emptying your trash cans regularly on its own is not enough to get rid of unpleasant odors which build up all over time, which is why you should give yours some love and attention this spring. When the trash can has been emptied, pour a small amount of dish soap into them, leave for a while and then blast with a pressure washer for clean, fresh smelling trash cans that don’t offend the neighbors.

The Garden

Gardening is something that we put on the backburner in the Autumn and winter months, so when spring rolls round, we can find that our garden space is less than attractive. So, put on your gardening gloves, pull up any weeds, now the lawn if it needs it, sew some seeds and paint the fence if it’s looking a bit dingy.

Paint Your Doors

Finally, give your exterior doors, including the garage door, a new lick of paint to give your home a fresh and new look to go with the new season, and your outdoors will never have looked better!
