Since starting their company in 2009, CanvasPop creators and employees have developed a passion for providing high quality art, photography, and home decor. All products are made in North American facilities, to ensure quality and efficiency of your order. As if that wasn’t enough, they offer a lifetime guarantee on their products and are only satisfied if the customer is, which has lead them to provide world-class customer service.
I found the hardest part of the whole process to be picking out the photo. CanvasPop generously offered a 16X20 print for me to review, be that it is a large picture to display, I was selective looking for the perfect image. I wasn’t sure if they could do much with the one I sent them, and debated using something more artistic, rather than a family photo.
The photo I chose was taken with an ancient ipod touch, my husband’s hands were there keeping the babies safe, and it was taken with lighting coming from behind the subjects; it was just an all around less than perfect set up but is my favourite picture of the four kids together so I didn’t have much hope for it. I was pleasantly surprised when they said it would work.
They adjusted the exposure (although, I will say that doing so did change the kids’ skin tone slightly) and they were able to completely remove the “safety hands”. I was extremely impressed with the editing. The only minor issue is that, when up close, you can still see red eye in two of the kids, but when hanging on a wall it’s not noticeable. In fairness, they did send me a digital proof, as they do for all orders, so I also missed it then.
CanvasPop uses artist-quality, fine art paper and I chose the hand-made black frame, as opposed to the white, to match the other frames in our home. The photo is protected with crystal clear, low-glare plexiglass. Possibly the best part is that it comes ready to hang. The wire is strung and they even include the nails and hooks. This is especially great for professional procrastinators, like myself, who would spend months forgetting to go out and buy some hooks to hang it.
After opening our expertly wrappe deliver (I’m not kidding, that was the best bubble-wrapping job I’ve ever seen), we hung our new photo right in our foyer so it’s the first thing you see when you enter our house. I never thought I’d like a photo this big on my wall; we’ve never hung anything larger than an 8X10 because we just don’t like big photos, but I am so happy to have this. Surprisingly, to me, I even enjoy the added 2.5 inches the optional white matting adds.
We have been looking for something worthy of that spot since we moved into this house, and finally found it!
