California Escape- The Living Desert

Written by:  Jamie

A lot of Los Angeles families vacation in the Palm Springs area.

We try to get out to Palm Springs at least once a month (Brian’s parents live there)

What is hard is finding activities for the kids.

So, we have made it our mission to find kid-friendly entertainment in the area.

Our latest adventure- The Living Desert in Palm Desert, California

This wildlife conservation center is what I can only describe as an organic zoo.

The animals are up- close, well cared for, have large habitats that they can freely move in and out of public viewing, and is presented in the casual earthy way.

What I found most exciting is the Starry Safari experience.

Families can camp overnight in the Living Desert!

Partake in s’mores as the sun goes down, and explore the grounds with a first-hand look and the nocturnal animals. In the morning a continental breakfast will be served to campers.
