Summer is here and we have been enjoying all of the quintessential summer activities.
The boys had a great time making their own servings of ice cream from a bag and learning the chemistry behind creating one of their favorite special treats.
In these recipes, the brown sugar and the fresh vanilla stand out and make it feel like a slight twist on an old favorite.
Homemade Brown Sugar Whipped Cream
This is my favorite whipped cream in the world! We love to serve it with fresh strawberries.
Ingredients.
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 fresh vanilla bean (slice down center and scrape lightly to collect contents)
- Add all ingredients together in a stainless steel bowl.
- Briskly whisk until peaks are formed and whipped cream texture is achieved (do not over-whisk once you reach this point).
- Enjoy!
