Brian and I have been on a hunt for effective natural cleaning products for some time. Vinegar has worked for us on some surfaces, but the smell can be overwhelming and it doesn’t seem to take off hard water spots easily. The store bought cleaning products have proven to be less effective than the vinegar.
Not giving up, we have tried every natural product we have come across. And some of these labeled “natural” we have found out later are not natural at all! (Marketing teams lie!? No…)
So today we are trying out Branch Basics. It’s the real deal as far as truly a safe cleaning product go. It is Human Safe, which means you can ingest it and it won’t hurt you. (Although, I would personally suggest champagne if you’re hankering for a bubbly beverage.)
You should know that Branch Basics is a high-grade soap, so it can be used on pretty much anything.
We tried the All-Purpose cleaner (dilution 1:5)
We tested it out on a glass shower door the had some really serious water spots on it!
The result? It took care of those spots!
I’ll be honest, it is no scrubbing bubbles, but it does truly work, and with much less effort or time than the other natural products we’ve used. Brian and I both agree we want to protect our family from the harmful chemicals in the conventional cleaning products, but we also want the natural product to actually work. This does both.
I would also suggest adding a couple of drops of essential oils in with your Branch Basics. At the bottom of each bottle it says, “I don’t smell but I’m open to it” allowing each person to choose if and what essential oils scent they would like in their cleaner.
