Ok, now for the fun…
I love to travel. Who doesn’t?
Many of us try and take any opportunity we see to pack up and go.
Because flying is awesome.
And staying at hotels makes you feel fancy.
But most of all, when you visit locations outside of your comfort zone, it gives you a better perspective of the world we all share.
Which makes you more compassionate.
And even teaches you new things about yourself…
So now that we’ve cleared up that most people think travel is fantastic, here is the not-so-great news. Even though most people do want to travel, it’s really only a small minority of people who have been able to do so.
There are millions of Americans who have never left their home state. Most people who have not traveled have said it is due to financial limitations or obligations at home/work.
This is why U.S. Cellular partnered up with my celebrity crush, Andrew Zimmern, to make some of our less traveled citizens dreams a reality.
This campaign is to help promote the extremely wide-range coverage in the U.S. that U.S. Cellular provides, and while they have this marketing mission, they are also giving back and partnering up with some really awesome people along the way. (A tip of the hat to you, U.S. Cellular.)
The five-part series starring Andrew Zimmern is called “Big Country,” and I will tell you in a minute how you could have a chance to be a part of the last episode.
But first, let’s check out an episode of the featuring Julius, a new dad from California. Julius has not been able to make his dream of visiting New York City a reality. He has been working hard to provide for his family.
U.S. Cellular decided to make his dream come true.
Having a guide like Andrew who knows the ins and outs of every major city in the U.S. is pretty special. However, the adventure and satisfying the feelings of wanderlust in the chosen individuals is what makes this series so fun to watch.
As someone who travels almost half the year because it is my passion (as well as my family’s), I feel like we should all help those who are interested in broadening their horizons.
Just make sure they actually do want to travel before following the instructions below.
Now let’s get serious.
If you or someone you know has the travel bug, but finances or obligations at home are keeping you near home, U.S. Cellular may be able to help. You can apply or nominate a friend or family member to be on the fifth and final episode of “Big Country” by visiting the “Big Country” hub.
Cheers, everyone!
U.S. Cellular is looking to cast one more special customer to take on a trip of a lifetime for the season finale of Big Country! Please visit the link to apply for the opportunity to find yourself in the middle of anywhere with national coverage from U.S. Cellular and TV host Andrew Zimmern on the show Big Country.
