Barbie Art – Classic Paintings Recreated with Barbie

Written by:  Jamie

Barbie can be very polarizing, but so can good art. Artist, Catherine Théry re-created famous pieces of art using hand-painted Barbie dolls, usually to replace men. Her goal was to raise questions about beauty, intelligence, and women’s place in society – past and present.
These re-creations were exhibited at Teodora in Paris. The exhibit was titled “Not the ones you think”.
