While she may be your smallest wedding attendant, your flower girl still deserves a little something as a thank you for her patience and poise (and for how adorable she looks!). While you may be giving out engraved whiskey glasses to the groomsmen and custom jewelry to the bridesmaids, your flower girl will need something a little more fun and age-appropriate.
JJ’s House Designer Jessica often has brides ask her for gift recommendations for various members of the wedding party. For your little flower girl, here is what she recommends:
- A roll-up pencil case
Encourage her creativity by giving her a cute, patterned roll-up pencil case complete with a variety of great colored pencils. If you give her this gift right after the ceremony, it will also provide her with something to do during the reception as well!
- A book collection
Whether she loves Harry Potter, Lemony Snickett, or Mary Poppins, there are gorgeous book collections that you can give your flower girl to expand her mind and her imagination. Not only will these books look beautiful on the shelf, but they will also give her hours of enjoyment.
- Mini teepee
Give her a little hideaway to relax in by herself with a mini teepee! This a great option for a young girl who enjoys playing hide-and-seek, or enjoys reading or playing by herself, since it will give her a bit more privacy and peace. Chat with the parents to see which patterned fabric will work best for their little girl.
- An age-appropriate clutch
If your flower girl is a little older, she may enjoy being able to play dress up along with the older women in the wedding party with a gorgeous, age-appropriate clutch. Look for sweet pastels in blush or rose gold, or a clutch covered in mermaid sequins.
- A fun backpack
If a clutch isn’t what will make your flower girl smile, consider giving her a fun backpack. An emoji covered backpack in shiny pink, a sequin backpack in vibrant blue, green or pink, or a gorgeous floral backpack that she can grow up with.
- Charm jewelry
Charm jewelry is always a great gift for a little girl. As time goes on, she can add to her charm necklace or bracelet with little ornaments from special places, people, or events. The charm jewelry will also look lovely contrasted against white flower girl dresses.
- Unicorn bark
What better treat than something sweet and colorful? “Unicorn bark” is a white chocolate bar covered in edible sparkles and swirled with pink and purple coloring. This sweet treat will be something she will love to look at as well as eat, though make sure to check with her parents before giving it to her!
- Baby “flower crown”
If you have very young flower girls dolled up in toddler flower girl dresses, they may benefit more from something that’s actually for their parents with faux flower crowns. These toddler-friendly toques are knitted to look like a small crown, replete with flowers.
