Check out the Penguin Playhouse on your way back to bring the trip together nicely. The kids will love a trip to Ripley’s and indeed learn a thing or two in the process.
Rent a jeep and drive around
Keep it simple by renting a jeep to explore your surroundings. You are in one of the most beautiful parts of the country, so get to know the place. Pack some food in a picnic cooler and go for a long drive with the family. Explore the surroundings and take in the majesty of nature through the Great Smoky Mountains.
There’s nothing more fulfilling than knowing that you’ve experienced everything you wanted without breaking the bank. A trip to these mountains doesn’t mean that you have to explore every nook and corner. A passive drive or walk would suffice for some people.

Open 365 days of the year, take a trip down to the adventure park whenever you get the chance. Check out some of the fantastic single-rail coasters they have and have some fun with the family.
An hour should be more than enough for everyone to have a good time at the adventure park.
Check out the mountains gliders, which happens to be one of their most famous rides. Be warned, though; it can get a bit scary if you’re scared of heights. Take your time, pace, and enjoy yourself. You don’t have to worry about parking costs and spending too much time because parking is free!
