4 Tips for Women Attending A Baseball Game

Written by:  Jamie

If you have never been to a baseball game before, and you want to change it, there are a few things you need to consider. It’s not uncommon for women to not show interest in sports, and if that’s your case, then its better if you take some precautions. We are giving you some tips to get started.

1.  Baseball Has Points, Not Runs

This is a common mistake most ladies make. You don’t want to make a fool out of yourself screaming runs at the top of your lungs while sitting at your Yankees Box Seats. You must do some research on Baseball before going ahead. We intend to help you out, and we will describe a few important things.

There are 9 innings in a game; there are no ties and the game will go into extra innings until one team wins the match. Away team bats at the top of inning followed by the home team batting at Bottom. Every team gets three outs every inning. The batsman/batter is out after three strikes, but he gets the 1st base after four balls.

When the batter hits foul, it is considered a strike, but not unless he already has two strikes. Baseball has a lot of jargons which are fun slanges used instead of home run. Some examples are homer, bomb, four-batter, etc.

2.  Best Innings to Get Out and Do Stuff

During first three innings, the pitcher is just selling in, and you go to see the team through the entire batting line up, both are important for someone who cares about the game. Unless the game is finished, you don’t want to get up for food in the last few innings.

If you need to go, you better do it in mid-game interval. take a look around the stadium, buy some snacks or even invest in your team’s merchandise. If you don’t want to miss anything, you need to get up and go out during 4th, 5th and 6th inning. This is perhaps the best time to get out. But be careful, you might have a hard time finding something you will like.

3.  Avoid Heels

It’s obvious you should wear low-key footwear Don’t worry about team affiliated clothes Not everyone wears clothing to show their support for a team; they want to enjoy the game. In case you are not a diehard fan of home team, then you don’t need to buy any of their merchandise. But this doesn’t mean you should support the opposite team’s colors.

4.  Don’t Bring A Massive Purse

You better leave the gigantic handbag at home, don’t take them at a stadium. It’s funny, but most stadiums have a purse size limit. The stadium floor is not the place where you would want to put an expensive purse.

Security checks every bag which comes through the door. Let’s be honest; you won’t like it when a security guard goes through it. Stadiums have policies about bring any outside food and drink, even water. Every stadium has its policies. You need to check with the stadium’s policies beforehand because it’s better to be safe than sorry.
