Coming up with the perfect party idea for your children’s birthday can be a challenge. As well as thinking up a winning birthday party idea there’s also catering and invitations to sort you too. The good news is that there is no shortage of ideas for kids’ parties whether they are at home or out of the house. Although these 5 ideas will require some organization, they might give you some inspiration to come up with an idea of your own.
Book a Party at an Indoor Playground
If you are looking for something a little more adventurous and exciting for your kids next birthday party then you could arrange to have it at an indoor playground. These huge indoor play areas are a great way for kids to blow off steam and run around for hours on end. Most indoor play areas will most likely be able to offer you some sort of package with food and a cake so that all you need to worry about is booking it and sending out the invitations.
If you are not familiar with the features of Indoor Playgrounds then essentially, they are giant soft play areas that contain a mixture of different activities. Some of the most common activities you are likely to find are trampolines and rope swings as well as ball pits and ninja courses. They really do have everything you need for the best birthday party in class!
Hold a Themed Party
If your little ones are mad about a film, TV show or character then holding a themed birthday party can be great way for them to express their creativity and use their imagination. If the character that they love is well known like Elsa from Frozen, then you will probably be able to find a costume in a fancy-dress shop that you can hire for the day.
It doesn’t just have to be TV shows that you take inspiration from either. You could be more general and go for a theme like dinosaurs, princesses and princess, pirates or the jungle. Decorating the house to match the theme will take the party to the next level and to top it off you could have a cake specially made that fits with the theme too which will really bring everything together.
Before getting into design and create mode, just remember that the most important thing is not to forget to tell the other’s guests about the theme and to give them some idea of the dress-up guidelines! It won’t be much fun if no one else is dressed-up.
Go to an Amusement Park
This is most likely going to work best with smaller parties and groups, but it’s another great idea if you don’t want to hold a party at your house or if you don’t have the space to have loads of kids over. If you are taking a small group, then it is probably a good idea to ask another parent to come along with you to help keep law and order. Otherwise, heading out to an amusement park for the day can really create a memorable occasion.
Another thing to think about is if you’re going as a group you may be able to get a discount on tickets or arrange some VIP access to skip the queues. If you’re on a budget it might be a good idea to take a picnic as food as most amusement parks can be quite expensive, especially if you are buying for 5 or more people and having lunch and dinner.
Hire a Petting Zoo
It’s an old one, but it’s still a really good one. There are still plenty of companies out there that you can hire to bring a petting zoo right to your front room or front yard. The main requirement that petting zoos have is that you have enough space for their animals to be safe and comfortable. Some may only be able to bring animals that can be shown outdoors so be sure to check if this is a requirement if you’re a booking a party in the winter when the weather is likely to be unpredictable.
The other thing to think about are the types of animals you want or are comfortable with in your house. You may want to just choose farmyard animals like goats and sheep. Alternatively, if you’re okay with creepy crawlies you could hire a jungle-themed petting zoo where they bring along snakes, spiders and frogs. Find some great ideas here at party planner Singapore.
