For three years, writer Faith D’Aluisio and Photographer Peter Menzel (who are also a married couple) traveled the globe together looking to discover and learn more about what average people eat on a day to day basis. Their quest would not only fill up their passports with stamps but also allow them to meet 80 people stories and diets as unique as the countries they call home.
You can read about all 80 in the book the couple released entitled What I Eat: Around the World in 80 Diets.
Here are 10 of our favorite photos and descriptions from the book, but we encourage you to check out the whole book!
