It has come to my attention that a lot of bloggers have never heard of The SITS Girls before.

Well, you should.
The SITS Girls is an online community of women that was created to support one another in blogging, and just life in general.
I have met so many wonderful friends through SITS (some online and some in “real life.”)
SITS is a great place to join if you:
- Want a good resource to find interesting new blogs to read
- Increase your traffic and followers for your blog
- Want to learn about blogging in relation to social media
- or just want to meet other blogging women for friendship, advice, and blogging tips
Have fun!

YAY. Love SITs. (I haven’t been there in a couple weeks, though. Oops.)
I can’t remember if that’s where I found you or not, Jamie. It may have been Top Mommy Blogs. Whatever the case, I’m glad I did find you.
Thanks Ronni! I’m happy we found each other, too. (PS: Wednesday is my SITS DAY!)
I haven’t even tried commenting on your blog lately, but I am always on there. Let me know when it is fixed and I will be back commenting… I just get frustrated writing out these really long comments and then they disappear when I send them! LOL….
I really don’t understand why my comments never work for you! I even switched the software! It must be something with your computer settings not gelling well with my plugins. Hmmm.
And I’ll be here to celebrate your SITs day!!!!
Support is important for whatever our endeavors are. Could you please tell me what makes SITS superior to other similar groups? I belong to several and they all have members who are are supportive and helpful to each other… Not being snarky, I swear! Genuinely curious.
Jennifer!
My favorite blogging groups for women are SITS and Blogher (but honestly, I don’t know of that many blogging groups for women, so if you don’t mind sharing, I’d like to know which you are a part of!)
The best thing about Sits is the way it is set up. Every woman waits in line to be the featured blogger of the day. The feature is lovely (I’ve found a lot blogs that I currently follow this way)- but in order to be qualified to be a featured blogger you must comment every day on whoever the featured blogger’s blog is that day. Um…hmm…I sound so confusing I can’t even figure out what I’m saying.
Basically- Commenting every day makes to eligible to be featured on SITS and when you’re featured you get A LOT of comments (there are 10,000 active members)
Also, the content is great on the site, and the forums are really helpful!
hope this answered your question!
I saw SITS share your site and with it being MY SITS day, I thought I would contribute my thoughts on this. When I first started blogging, only 11 months ago, I signed up for numerous other mom communities. They each serve their function, however I felt like it was more of a Hey, we are all in this together so, I will follow you if you follow me, mentality. With SITS they not only feature bloggers and it is a POST not just a notification on a scrolling site that you have to sign into, but they also have GREAT “how to” posts that I have benefited from on numerous occasions. I have found more friendships and networking through SITS than any other community. The support is far more valuable. While roll call is required (although I missed A LOT of them), I really was honored by many of the comments I received…am still getting. Ok, long winded, but hope that helps! Nice to meet you Jennifer (Thanks to SITS!).
Doh! Nice to meet you JAMIE! So sorry, looked at the comments wrong.
Leah, OMG you getting my name wrong was incredibly charming with your blog name! I’m cracking up.
Happy Sits Day!
Those SITS girls are lucky to have you!
The SITS Girls are amazing and every blogger I admire has had their turn learning from them.
sounds like a great resource!
Congrats on your upcoming SITS day! Jealous! I’ve been waiting YEARS!
Love it!! Best blogger conference I have ever been too also!
I need to get more involved with sits. I joined just never have time for anything.
I’ve heard of SITS but have never been involved….I must check it out. Thanks!
A friend of mine introduced me to SITS girls and I’m so happy she did. I have found some awesome blogs through it!
This is just the nicest post ever.
Seriously.
We spend a ton of time and thought on the site and are just so touched by the post and the comments.
Really- thank you!
Tiffany
I am so glad you liked this post and were able to see the love of it from the commenters!
Wow…. I’m all about support from women and vice versa! I am going to have to look into Sits!
