The boys have been asking to visit a police station for some time, now. Since it was a Saturday (and less crowded), we decided to pop over and let the boys have some fun. Brian made sure they got the full educational (and a bit boring at times...) tour.   Regardless of the slow moments, it was a lot of fun. If you haven't already, definitely check out visiting policies for your local police stations and fire stations. It's a great way to have the family … [Read more...]

All of his answers expressed his imagination and … [Read more...]

I spent my 27th birthday in what has now become one of my very favorite cities in the world.   I woke up to a completed 27th year to discover Aram was on the road to recovery from his epic illness, which was the best present I could have asked for. We made our way to breakfast at More Quarters to find a tower of handcrafted cupcakes (complete with edible sparkles) waiting for us at our table, with a note from the staff saying they had donated to the Matchbox project in my … [Read more...]

Brian and I took a weekend vacation to Carmel! A big part of my childhood was spent there, so I love going back. Carmel Then: Carmel Now:   We do encounter one problem. The men in my family (and the ones we marry) tend to be abnormally tall, and the houses in Carmel are built for abnormally small people. Eating is one of my favorite things to do, and some of the best restaurants are in town. We met my best friend from Carmel, … [Read more...]
