I was living overseas with my husband and 20-month old daughter when we found out I was pregnant with twins. I went through so many emotions in those early days –shock, excitement, joy – and then one evening I was struck with fear when I realized I was going to birth twins. I began to research and learn everything I could about twin … Keep Reading!!!

In entertainment news (that really isn’t news), Scarlett Johansson pumped at the Oscars.
Johansson, who gave birth to daughter Rose in early September, “wasn’t shy about pumping backstage” according to Hollywoodlife.com. The online publication went on to report that the new mom pumped right before she went on stage to present.
Practically, this would make sense. If I was lactating and had to wear an evening gown (the brave woman looked like she was wearing a silk- satin blend) … Keep Reading!!!
Sick and immobile, I still managed to breeze through all 14.5 hours of Ken Burns’ The War on Netflix last week. Through my wheezing and coughing I was captivated by the 2007 documentary masterpiece on WWII. If you haven’t seen it, I highly suggest you check it out.
A woman named Sascha Weinzheimer is interviewed throughout the series. Her family was originally from Sacramento, but moved to the Philippines due to her father’s business. The war had started, and … Keep Reading!!!

Did you know that 70-80% of women are wearing the wrong size bra? Many of them don’t even realize it! With all of the changes that go on in a mothers body, you can pretty much bet that that percentage increases when a woman becomes pregnant or is nursing a child. Even if a mother did wear the correct size pre-pregnancy, by the time her baby arrives, her size has … Keep Reading!!!
Rosamond Pike recently went on Ellen and discussed being a working mom with a 9-week-old infant son. She explained that although her job allows for her to bring her son to meetings, most people are still very surprised when the actress arrives with her baby. The new mom also divulges that she has the same relatable, hilarious, unexpected, and unglamorous moments in breastfeeding and pumping like anyone else does… except for maybe the award show snafus. Her recent BAFTA awards … Keep Reading!!!

This is the photo my daughter (13yo) took when I nursed my 4.5yo son for the last time.
One of the hardest parts of all this leukemia/chemo/hospitalization stuff has been its effect on my relationship with EJ. Obviously, it’s affected Alex as well, but there’s a big difference in how she can understand what’s been going on and how EJ has. Don’t get me wrong – in general, he’s been a trooper; however, it’s … Keep Reading!!!
The Pope seems determined to relieve the stigma attached to nursing in public.
As Pope Francis baptized 33 infants on Sunday, he reminded their mothers to breastfeed them if they needed to be soothed or fed.
“You mothers give your children milk and even now, if they cry because they are hungry, breastfeed them, don’t worry,” he told the mothers in the room.
“Lady health workers have played a heroic role in this awareness campaign.”

I am curious about your experiences with “mom groups” – best and worst. What things happened that made them one way or the other for you? I am..
So, Paa.la tagged in a response to a tweet she came across a day or so ago on Twitter. The replies to her tweet were calling me the usual – pedophile,..
Love this. Who breastfed a preemie?
It’s black and blue! Who sees gold and white?
