If your plane taxis for two hours before take-off, take photos of yourself in your seat at different angles to pass the time.
Drink white sangria – a pitcher. It helps.
Avoid at all costs wearing anything remotely resembling this:
And regardless of how you sleep at home, it is a good idea to remember to bring pajamas for travel situations where you’ll be rooming with someone other than your spouse. If not, expect the … Keep Reading!!!
It’s no secret- I have no sense of direction.
GPS was invented for people like me, and ironically I still have yet to own a vehicle with built-in GPS, or the device itself.
Anyway, a few days ago I managed to get lost with the with the kids again. We were … Keep Reading!!!
I have been reluctant to bring the boys to The Getty because I did not feel they were quite old enough for the experience. However, my views have changed. My friend Alexandra and decided to brave The Getty with our preschool-aged children.
Admittedly, we did not make it into the building. However, we bought snacks and spent hours in the gardens. What a beautiful and inspiring place for children. It is like Alice in Wonderland.
The Butterfly Pavilion was created for observation, education, and research. As each butterfly dies, the researchers will mark and record the data to determine the natural lifespan of each species. I have to say, I am not sure how reliable the data from this project will be. There were at least a few casualties during the … Keep Reading!!!
Disneyland now has competition.
We took the boys to the Palm Springs Air Museum.
It has one of the world’s largest collections of flyable WWII aircrafts.
Never in a million years would I have believed Aram and Samuel could spend a whole day here and be entertained. Well, to my surprised that is exactly what happened. The boys were enthralled by all of the fighter planes and the stories that went with each aircraft.
Any history buff or child … Keep Reading!!!
I was so excited to spend Christmas with my family!
I knew the boys would be excited to see their cousins
On Christmas Eve we attended a candelight service at our home church.
Then we went and had some Philly Cheesesteaks where Samuel got into Grandma’s lipstick!
December 17th Samuel turned FIVE!
I can’t believe it!
We had a party at my parents’ house!
My grandma came because she never misses a hot party.
My niece came because Samuel LOVES her (She’s 5’11” and looks like a supermodel, I can’t really blame him)
and all of his boy cousins showed up.
Even my cousin Whitney and her husband Bryan showed up with their adorable daughter Declyn! Whitney knitted him an adorable hat for his birthday in his … Keep Reading!!!

I LOVE the smell of pine in our house. Time to pick out a tree!
This is the first year where Samuel really understands what is happening. He was only home for a few weeks we got our tree last year.

November 17 I completely overbooked myself.
My cousin came in from San Francisco and her plane was delayed. Then off we went immediately to the boys’ MMA class.
When the class was over we raced back to our neck of the woods. Dropped the kids off with Mali, and ran off to the Rolls-Royce Spirit of Ecstasy event. Rolls-Royce that weekend was also showing off their new Phantom Hybrid.
So, the boys are on a PBS SoCal promo. It plays every morning. Don’t get too excited for us. I’m not even sure how we spotted them. Their “scene” runs for about .5 seconds.
But, of course, we have to pause it whenever the boys know it is coming up (it is the only way they can see themselves)…
We’re starting … Keep Reading!!!
The boys went to the Playboy Mansion. We were visiting to check out the property for a charity event.
They were treated like royalty. Samuel specifically requested fresh squeezed orange juice, and received it.
It was a perfect playground for the kids, if it weren’t for a few large birds trying to poke their eyes out.
Also, My boys were given so many sweets, when came home and crashed on the couch when their sugar high plummeted.
Anyway, the point … Keep Reading!!!
Autumn is here and I couldn’t wait to take the boys out to go on a “nature walk.”
Okay,….the park was as close as we were going to get today.
Nonetheless, off we went with our very scientific bags (gallon freezer bags, mind you. I don’t skimp when it comes to the education of my children )
I had the boys collect different textures in nature. They found flowers, pine cones, and varying leaves.
We went home and examined … Keep Reading!!!
VISIT CLUB 33
What is Club 33, you ask?
It is a private club hidden in Disneyland that is almost impossible to visit. You need to either be a member, or have a member make reservations for you. There are large corporations that are members, and under 600 individual memberships. Needless to say, I am not the only one who has this one their bucket list.
I seriously almost had … Keep Reading!!!
I have a few friends recently who have told me that they don’t want to brave Disneyland with their kids because it is a disaster waiting to happen. I don’t blame them. After being there twice this week I saw bigger meltdowns than Fukushima and Chernobyl, combined.
I doesn’t have to be that way!
I’m spilling some of my secrets.
Disneyland Tips and Tricks:
“My breasts aren’t in you way.” Oh man, if the original version of this song never got stuck in your head, this one definitely will. I love that..
