When you first bring your baby home from hospital they need sixteen to seventeen hours sleep each day. You need to make sure that they have a safe and comfortable environment to sleep in. A major part of this is choosing the right crib for your child. It’s also important that you do not forget how vital the crib mattress is in ensuring your child gets the sleep they need.
We are going to take a look at the … Keep Reading!!!
I’m sitting here in the middle of the rainforest in Uganda writing this. I’ll talk more about the adventure of actually getting here but first we need to discuss white water rafting because I just did it and I was not prepared!
As some of you know, I’ve been working with Joel Lambert on a new project that focuses on adventure travel from two very different perspectives. We selected Uganda as our first destination, gorilla trekking, but what I didn’t … Keep Reading!!!
Money is one of the most powerful things in our society. In a lot of ways, money is the freedom to do things. That is the very reason why people want to make more of it. It is the very reason why we want our children to do well at school, and go to college and land a decent job. But having money is only a small part of the battle because obtaining financial skills is just … Keep Reading!!!

Hey everyone, popping on here again to discuss what we’re doing.
We’re clearly very excited about Halloween… or maybe it’s just me….
We have been all over the California coast these past couple of months. The boys have perfected their boogie boarding skills. As for me, I’m just lucky I can keep up.

Some people love wine. I definitely appreciate it, but I’ve always been more of a beer girl. That’s why I was so excited when we went to Bend, Oregon last summer.
(I’m a little devastated that I lost all my photos on my phone from that trip… alas, only Instagram images are left. )
Bend is a small town that has sort of become our Beer capital at the moment…
…or maybe I should say micro-brew capital?
Anyway, this little … Keep Reading!!!
Aly Brothers is a single mother of two beautiful boys.
Aly is also like most parents and became completely overwhelmed by her childrens’ unexpected (but totally normal), defiant behavior at the grocery store the other day.

Her caption on Facebook expressed the difficulties she sometimes faces while raising two children:

Leave it to the internet to try to shit on something positive.
You may have heard that Alicia Keys announced that she was completely over makeup back in May, but I don’t think anyone realized how serious she was until she followed through with a completely bare face at the VMAs.
Check her out-
And that isn’t even “no makeup, makeup” – she’s got a totally bare face.
Oh Alicia, I wouldn’t wear makeup if I were you either.… Keep Reading!!!

The importance of sensory play was first introduced to me when one of my children was diagnosed with Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD). In fact, SPD is so common that I’m sure I have it, and there is a good chance you or someone you know does too However, today we’re talking about sensory play which benefits everyone, not just those with SPD.
Sensory play is a crucial part of development for small children but is often overlooked. That is why … Keep Reading!!!
Hey everyone! Sorry for these sporadic updates. I’ll get more consistent, I promise.
I have been so busy that I haven’t had a lot of time to spend at the computer and when I finally sit down to write something, I’ve been overwhelmed and don’t know where to begin.
But… I’ll try right now.
Also, excuse the typos or grammatical errors here…. I’ll never get this out if I don’t just write it and send it off immediately!

Just as the normal world out there have its dangers and we can predict them and warn kids what to do in case of ‘this and that’. So it has to be with them online. The world now has turned in to what people say a global village. It was not like 10. 20 or 30 years ago where you need to carry your books in your hand. Or go to the library in search of books.
