Some people love wine. I definitely appreciate it, but I’ve always been more of a beer girl. That’s why I was so excited when we went to Bend, Oregon last summer.
(I’m a little devastated that I lost all my photos on my phone from that trip… alas, only Instagram images are left. )
Bend is a small town that has sort of become our Beer capital at the moment…
…or maybe I should say micro-brew capital?
Anyway, this little … Keep Reading!!!

Aly is also like most parents and became completely overwhelmed by her childrens’ unexpected (but totally normal), defiant behavior at the grocery store the other day.

Her caption on Facebook expressed the difficulties she sometimes faces while raising two children:

Leave it to the internet to try to shit on something positive.
You may have heard that Alicia Keys announced that she was completely over makeup back in May, but I don’t think anyone realized how serious she was until she followed through with a completely bare face at the VMAs.
Check her out-

In fact, SPD is so common that I’m sure I have it, and there is a good chance you or someone you know does too However, today we’re talking about sensory play which benefits everyone, not just those with SPD.
Sensory play is a crucial part of development for small children but is often overlooked. That is why … Keep Reading!!!
Hey everyone! Sorry for these sporadic updates. I’ll get more consistent, I promise.
I have been so busy that I haven’t had a lot of time to spend at the computer and when I finally sit down to write something, I’ve been overwhelmed and don’t know where to begin.
But… I’ll try right now.
Also, excuse the typos or grammatical errors here…. I’ll never get this out if I don’t just write it and send it off immediately!

On our birthdays, we are meant to be a mixture of happy at the attention with a tinge of misery over our ageing. A wedding is a joyous occasion, in the lead up to which the bride is expected to turn into a control freak.
By far the most expectation-heavy time of our lives, however, is when … Keep Reading!!!
Everyone raises their children in different ways. We have different standards, different methods of discipline, and different values. But just about every parent on the planet has at least one thing in common: they each want their kid to succeed.

You may rather sing Gangnam Style in public than have complete strangers gawp at your table as your four-year-old daughter decides that spaghetti’s more enjoyable to play with than eat, or try to ignore the screams as your son decides to throw an epic tantrum because you’ve said no to extra ice cream. However, children need to learn how to behave appropriately in public as well as at home unless you never want to visit anywhere … Keep Reading!!!
