State Rep. Amanda Bouldin (D) took to Facebook to express her opposition to a proposed bill in New Hampshire that would make it a misdemeanor for a woman to expose her nipples. Bouldin strongly recommends the bill be completely scrapped, or at the very least an exemption for breastfeeding mothers be added.
The very least you could do is protect a mother’s right to FEED her child.
While Bouldin later corrected herself and admitted the bill does contain an exemption … Keep Reading!!!
It’s always great to celebrities being honest about the joys and struggles of breastfeeding their children. Naya Rivera, seen above sporting a beautiful bump at her baby shower, and her husband Ryan Dorsey welcomed their first child, Josey Hollis, into the world in September, Naya opened up to People about how breastfeeding is going.
Right off the top she talks about the lack of information new mothers receive in regards to breastfeeding.

Earlier this year, a video emerged of Kimberly Turbin’s labor and delivery. This video (which can be seen here, on our previous post about this story) shows Kimberly fighting, during the most intense part of delivery, to keep the doctor from cutting her. While she should be focusing on herself and what she needs to do to meet her new child she is, instead, heard begging the doctor to let her try to deliver on her own, wanting to … Keep Reading!!!
Good news for moms serving in the US Army. There will be no more pumping milk in the bathroom! On November 10, 2015 they released an update for their new policy regarding breastfeeding soldiers.
It was only September, of this year, that the Army came out with a breastfeeding policy, making them the last service branch to do so. The original policy made strides to help nursing soldiers but left a lot to be desired. It specified that soldiers be … Keep Reading!!!
When Rebecca, a mother of 3 from St. Catharines, Ontario, took her one year old to see Santa he got a little cranky waiting in line. As any nursing mom would do, Rebecca started nursing her son to comfort him. She joked that she should see if she could nurse him through the pictures. When the photographer and Santa were completely on board they went for it.
File this under the “completely backfired” category.
Earlier this week Hannah Hawkes Photography posted a preview of one of her recent family Christmas photo shoots. The image feature a mom and her 2 daughters bound in Christmas lights with duct tape over their mouths. Behind them crouches dad and their son. Dad held a sign saying “Peace on Earth”.

When Ashley Kaidel‘s son got hungry, while they were at a restaurant, she did what mother’s do – she fed him. Of course, because she did so with your breasts people start staring. Rather than feel shamed she decided to stare right back. This is when her dining partner took a photo of her, a photo which she posted to Facebook along with a post about normalizing breastfeeding. The statement she made, both within her writing and her photo … Keep Reading!!!

It is no secret that Canada gets cold in the winter, and for the homeless population this becomes very problematic. Eight-year-old Jada, wanted to do something about it.
With the help of her mom, Tara, she gathered winter coats from the community and spent her eighth birthday dressing street poles throughout Halifax, Nova Scotia with 7 of her friends. Each jacket had a tag that said “I am not lost! If you are stuck out in … Keep Reading!!!
I asked my friend “Rasheed” (from the most recent live stream) if he was dressed in his own clothes. He looked at me and said, “No, mine were too wet.” Later in the day, he stopped and pointed out where his clothes were drying, so I snapped a photo. I wanted to show this because there was a dignity element to this part of the story that I didn’t understand until I came the Lesvos. I spent the entire … Keep Reading!!!
