Hey everyone, popping on here again to discuss what we’re doing.
We’re clearly very excited about Halloween… or maybe it’s just me….
We have been all over the California coast these past couple of months. The boys have perfected their boogie boarding skills. As for me, I’m just lucky I can keep up.

Some people love wine. I definitely appreciate it, but I’ve always been more of a beer girl. That’s why I was so excited when we went to Bend, Oregon last summer.
(I’m a little devastated that I lost all my photos on my phone from that trip… alas, only Instagram images are left. )
Bend is a small town that has sort of become our Beer capital at the moment…
…or maybe I should say micro-brew capital?
Anyway, this little … Keep Reading!!!
Leave it to the internet to try to shit on something positive.
You may have heard that Alicia Keys announced that she was completely over makeup back in May, but I don’t think anyone realized how serious she was until she followed through with a completely bare face at the VMAs.
Check her out-
And that isn’t even “no makeup, makeup” – she’s got a totally bare face.
Oh Alicia, I wouldn’t wear makeup if I were you either.… Keep Reading!!!
Model Carol Trentini is making news this week for gracing the cover the September issue of Vogue Brazil while breastfeeding her baby.
In the gorgeous images, shot by photographer Zee Nunes, Trenton was captured at seven months pregnant and two months postpartum for the photo series.
The model was extremely appreciative of the magazine’s willingness to put a breastfeeding mother on its cover.
The importance of sensory play was first introduced to me when one of my children was diagnosed with Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD). In fact, SPD is so common that I’m sure I have it, and there is a good chance you or someone you know does too However, today we’re talking about sensory play which benefits everyone, not just those with SPD.
Sensory play is a crucial part of development for small children but is often overlooked. That is why … Keep Reading!!!
In 2010, Spencer and Whitney started blogging about their struggles with infertility and adoption. In 2010, they adopted their first son and in 2014 they welcomed their second son into their home.
Gabi Shull was just nine-years-old when she was diagnosed with cancer in her right knee. In order to save her life, doctors were left with no choice but to amputate her leg. They removed her knee and then reattached her foot backwards in order to give her the best chance of walking comfortably in a prosthetic.
The tiny dancer recovered, but she was left with a decreased ability to dance en point for her ballet classes. Things seemed hopeless on … Keep Reading!!!
I am going to get in the habit of these weekly wrap-ups because…
a. every blogger and their mother seems to do it.
b. I’m clearly a conformist.
So here are the weird things I read this week when I wasn’t sitting at Starbucks making frantic calls to people about funding for the water project in Ethiopia.
First up is very timely and slightly prophetic, since it deals with Starbucks AND water…frozen water to be exact.
Someone just filed a … Keep Reading!!!
Did you know that Walt Disney Productions was the first production company ever to use the word “vagina” on film?
With Disney-esque magic they teach how to avoid feeling sorry for yourself during your period (not going to happen), bathing as an acceptable practice during your period (which was slightly horrifying to hear that not bathing was a rumor being spread during that … Keep Reading!!!
Today would have been Audrey Hepburn’s 87th birthday, which seems pretty incredible given the fact that her image as a young woman still is one of the top telling images on merchandise, grossing multi-millions of dollars every year.
Most of millennials know the icon for her role in Breakfast at Tiffany’s as well as from other classic hollywood movies, but what most people don’t know was her strong desire to be a mother and her heart for humanitarian work.
I’ve been writing for I Am Not the Babysitter for a few months now and the one thing I’ve noticed is an overwhelming sense of community. Not everyone that follows the page takes the same approach to parenting or lifestyle choices but no one seems to bash anyone. It’s a wonderful concept but what happens when the topic of something other than parenting or breastfeeding comes up? I was inspired by the live Q & A with Dr. … Keep Reading!!!
According to a recent report from the Institute for Employment Studies (IES), there’s a good chance that Brexit will place even more strain on an already deficient nursing workforce in the UK. The study, which was commissioned by the Migration Advisory Committee (MAC), found that the NHS gets a significant portion of its nurses from countries like Portugal, Spain, and Ireland, with nurses from the EU accounting for about 5% of the workforce and those from all outside countries combined … Keep Reading!!!
