This drink recipe was discovered at the Grange in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Light and refreshing! The perfect cocktail to sip in these warm summer months.
- Mint (muddled or slapped)
- 1 ¼ oz Tanqueray
- ¼ oz Lime Juice
- ¼ oz ginger simple syrup (this can be done by allowed a few pieces of fresh ginger to sit and infuse in some simple syrup for 1+ hours)
- Shake – rocks glass
- Top with Ginger Beer
- Garnish with a piece of candied ginger
Enjoy!

Funny, I was drinking a cocktail made with ginger and him (and watermelon juice and limes) at sunset today too. Cosmic twins I tell ya! I took pictures to blog it, too
We totally are! I hope Chicago will be able to handle us!
OMG that was supposed to say “gin” not “him”. Damn you autocorrect
Funny, people refer to ingesting ginger as a way to feel warmer too. That’s the funny thing with vasodilators — menthol’s another example — they can the affected area feel either hot or cold.
