Children’s Books: Little Men by Louisa May Alcott

Do you remember the book Little Women by Louisa May Alcott?

For so many of us, that reminds us of our childhoods.

I was in Ojai recently, and during my shopping trip I came across some great vintage books for the boys room. A book titled Little Men caught my attention, and I was delighted to see the author was also Louisa May Alcott.

Little Men is a sequel to little women, reprising many of the characters we grew to love in the first book.

The story follows the students at Plumfield for six months. Plumfield is run as an alternative school where children have their own gardens, pet ownership, and where diversity and community are celebrated. The students are encouraged to have Saturday pillow fights.

Definitely a fun read.

I can’t ever read just Little Women. I need to read them all. There is at least one more after Little Men as the family grows up and the boys get married. Such a beautiful read that you can enjoy over and over!
