If you are in the LA area it is unquestionably one of the top places for adults who want to train in MMA.
Without a doubt it is the best in mixed martial arts classes for children.
The coach of the littlest children has the reputation of child whisperer:
It takes a special kind of person to work with kids this age (I personally would rather have a lobotomy). Yet, he seems to enjoy it and makes it look easy!
The kids absolutely love him and his strict (but fun) teaching ethic.

Oh my goodness. I didn’t realize that kids so little could take these classes. Wouldn’t want to mess with THEM on the playground!

First, I have a weird obsession with MMA. Love it. But I’ve never seen a MMA for kids class. I would love to enroll my daughter in something like this. I think it would be a fantastic boost to her self esteem and she’d learn how to defend herself. Hell, I want to take a class!!
Wendy, a lot of women train there! You should really come with me and bring your daughter to one of their classes! It is great for the little girls because they really learn how to defend themselves- even more so than traditional martial arts classes.

My 4 old goes to karate and he love it! I think this sport is the best one for kids, it teaches discipline and give kids self esteem.

I think I would have a heart attack having my kid learning how beat people up. She has a temper that one.

Is it wrong that I think it’s really adorable watching them all try to knock each other over? I have some guy friends who do MMA and they are JACKED. It’s ridiculous.
Definitely need to get some MMA in my life. I’m SO out of shape.
Ours is in BJJ too – also Muay Thai and will add judo once he’s been in BJJ long enough to keep them straight. He is almost 5, and he LOVES this class. We just joined a couple of months ago, my husband has been “playing” BJJ with him since he was born though. It is the perfect outlet for all that he loves to do best.
MMA has been so good for both of my boys! I am so glad there are other moms reading that also have kids in the sport! I think people who don’t understand it find it extremely violent. It’s not like that at this age.
