Brian was extremely worried about the flight home. Luckily, Samuel only had 30 minutes of screaming on the 24-hour journey.
We decided to have a small group of people welcome Samuel home at the airport.
I FINALLY GOT TO MEET HIM! And so did Aram and the rest of our family.
He sang the whole way home in the car! It was cute…I’ve learned the song, but I have no idea what it means.
When we made it back home, we gave him a shower. This was the unveiling of a clearly distended belly. He looked about nine months pregnant. It was clear he had a parasite and we needed to get it treated right away.
He wasn’t hungry his first night, and he went to bed early.
This is his second round of pretty significant trauma in a matter of 6 months. He is handling it so sweetly, and is clearly very, very special. We can’t wait to see what the future holds. We know it will be some good, some bad, but both of our children are so worth it.
Now on to the adventure of a lifetime!
