100 Beards, 100 Days (and Giveaway)

Most of you know that I am a bit partial to a man with facial hair (except, of course, for my husband; I’ll take him any way I get him).100 Beards Cover 1

I am not sure why I am captivated by beards. Perhaps it is my inability to grow one (although, I’ve heard when I hit forty that may be another story).

but I digress…

I could not contain my excitement when I first discovered 100 Beards, 100 Days, the blogging project turned popular book (the second edition is about to be released) from London-based Photographer Jonathan Daniel Pryce.

Jonathan won Photographer of the Year at the 2012 Scottish Fashion Awards and has been featured in publications like GQ, Glamour, Grazia, and Metro…but above all else Jonathan is a wonderful (and perhaps unlikely) advocate for breastfeeding rights of mothers, is an amazing brother to his beautiful sister Laura, and an awesome uncle to her baby girl.

So, when you swoon over these bearded men, just know a badass took these photos.

I love celebrating beards! My husband has a long one, and get very frustrated with how anti-beard some people can be. Even though it is a normal part of being male to have facial hair, so many see it as dirty, disreputable, or ugly.

I think this is my favorite post! You know I love Ryan with a beard. There’s just something that says “Man” about a nice beard. :)

My favorite part of this blog post is the fact that it’s about BEARDS! My other half just went from casually scruffy to a legit beard and I LOVE it. He says I like it because it makes him look horrible, but I honestly think it is sexy as sin.

Love that it shows all different types of men with different looking facial hair. Everyone grows it differently.

I love the lighting and of course the beards. Who doesn’t love the rigidness and texture!

My favorite part of this blog is the bit where it mentions a beard renaissance. That makes me very happy. I like thinking of a hairy enlightenment.
